Ton’s Upholstered Banana Bentwood Stool

The upholstered version of the Banana Bentwood Stool, sometimes referred to as the Melnikov Cafe Stool, has become one of the most omnipresent designs of bentwood seen around the world.  Its sturdy construction,  comfortable curved back, and wide range of colors make it popular in homes, restaurants, and cafe worldwide.

The Banana Stool is constructed, one of the original factories set up by Michael Thonet in the 1800s.  The bentwood chair factory has been in continuous operation since its inception in 1861.  It is now just one of a handful of original bentwood chair factories left over.

Materials:  Bentwood stool. Frame in solid natural beechwood or beechwood with stain or lacquer finish. Seat upholstered with fabric or leather.
