Walnut Floyd Hugh Acton Slat Bench by Floyd with Chrome Base

In 2018, the design world lost a talented and pioneering figure in Hugh, who passed away at the age of 93. Not only was he a renowned mid-century modern designer, but also a sculptor, jewelry designer, and athlete. His furniture designs were innovative and focused on adaptable systems, with each piece never considered complete. The Acton Slat Bench, originally designed in 1954 while Hugh was a design student at Cranbrook, has been faithfully recreated by Floyd using solid walnut and chrome. It is in pristine, like-new condition.
