The Number 15 “Stand By” Bentwood Coat Stand by Ton is one of the famed pieces from Michael Thonet’s original sales catalogs dating back to the mid-1800s. Seen in homes, restaurants, and cafes around the world, the No. 15 Bentwood Coat Stand is the perfect accessory for any entranceway.

By 1885, bentwood furniture pieces had become highly specialized serving a vast array of markets.  Specialty catalogs for theaters, hospitals, and restaurants were distributed adding to the Thonet family’s reach.  A variety of bentwood coat racks can be seen throughout Michael Thonet’s catalogs.  The No. 15 though is perhaps the most enduring of all of these bentwood accessory designs.
